StoryCorps: an ocean adventure gone wrong

Dr. Jerome Morgan had always dreamed of sailing across the Pacific. When he retired, he decided to do just that: he closed his medical practice, sold his house and set sail. Starting in San Francisco, Morgan made his way down the Baja peninsula and Central American coast before making the 3,600 mile journey across the Pacific. His friend John Gilman met him in Fiji, sharing a leg of Morgan's voyage-of-a-lifetime. This past Fall, Gilman brought Morgan into the San Francisco StoryBooth to hear about what happened after he left -- when Morgan's dream turned into a nightmare.
They recorded their story at the StoryCorps booth in the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, and you can too.
