Exactly 22 years ago at 5:04pm, the Loma Prieta earthquake hit San Francisco. Maybe you remember what it was like when the shaking started, right before Game 3 of that year’s World Series, between the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland A’s.
We all know that another quake could strike the Bay Area at any moment. But how prepared are we really? To answer this question, KALW is launching a new project in collaboration with Mobile Commons. We’re mapping quake readiness around the Bay Area, and we want to hear from you.
