In Support of the Artist

I know a New York artist who I went to High School with. He makes interesting sculptural art to hang on a wall. Does this make him a photographer? I am a piano player. Does this make me an artist? I asked my girlfriend if my piano playing makes me an artist. She said; "Not the way you play!"

I hope to keep playing the piano, and get better and better. This way people might call me a baker, or a diplomat.
Musicians are not artists...
